Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module HC-SR04 for Arduino

Meet the Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module HC-SR04, a compact ultrasonic ranging module designed for Arduino and 3.3V–5V microcontroller projects. It uses sound waves to measure distance to nearby objects, delivering fast, reliable readings for robotics, automation, and interactive electronics.

  • Wide voltage operation: compatible from 3.0V up to 5.5V, so you can power it directly from 3.3V or 5V MCUs without extra regulators.
  • Accurate distance sensing: range depends on supply voltage — 2 cm to 450 cm at 5V (0.78–175.5 in) and 2 cm to 400 cm at 3.3V (0.78–156 in).
  • Compact, practical form factor: enclosure measures 45.00 x 20.00 x 15.00 mm (1.77 x 0.79 x 0.59 in), ideal for tight spaces in small robots and embedded projects.
  • Seamless HC-SR04 compatibility: the module’s form factor and software are fully compatible with the classic HC-SR04, with effortless transition between versions and no wiring surprises.
  • Industrial-grade reliability: built to endure a broad temperature range from -20°C to 80°C, ensuring stable readings in workshops, labs, or field deployments.
  • Ready for multi-pack setups: available in 1–10 piece packs, perfect for classrooms, clubs, or scalable robotics kits.

What this sensor can do for you

  • Obstacle detection and collision avoidance for small autonomous robots, RC cars, and drones
  • Distance measurement for interactive projects, level sensing, and proximity-based triggers
  • Educational experiments and DIY automation where real-time distance data enhances learning and prototyping

How to use

Hook up the module with standard HC-SR04 wiring: Vcc to 3.3V or 5V, GND to ground, Trig to a digital output, and Echo to a digital input on your microcontroller. Send a trigger pulse to Trig, then read the Echo pulse width—the duration corresponds to distance. Use a compatible library for HC-SR04 to simplify integration with your Arduino, ESP32, or other compatible platforms.

Note: actual color might vary slightly due to monitor and lighting. Please allow a 1–2 cm measurement deviation due to manual measurement. Each order can include 1–10 modules, making it easy to scale up your project or classroom kits.
